Below you’ll find a guide on the best places to eat and drink in the local area and links to their respective websites. This list is by no means exhaustive but it does provide you with some venues which we feel are worth a visit, Ilkley has the most choice, from great independants to chains you’ll find most things there. Scattered around the Dale are other gems which we’ve highlighted for you. If you don’t fancy driving and want a drink, taxis to Ilkley cost about £7 and can be booked by calling: 01943 601110

PUBS
There’s a lot to choose from in Addingham; The Crown is a great local pub, cosy in winter and with outside seating for those warmer days. They serve great value food and specialise in Pie Minster pies in what locally is known as Pie Club. The Swan is another good value local pub, recently refreshed it’s been a staple of the village for years. Finally The Fleece is well loved locally and has always been known for the quality of its food.

FOOD
This tiny Italian is a little gem, no predictable pizza and pasta dishes here. A small menu written on a blackboard changes daily, run my Luigi who generally cooks up a storm in the kitchen but on occasion can be found front of house talking customers through the dishes. This is one of our top spots in Ilkley and shouldn’t be missed but do book! Price rating ££

We’re lucky to have a great Indian restaurant in Ilkley called Panache; it’s a local favourite and they have built up a strong reputation over the years. Short of heading into Bradford this is our pick for a spicy treat; they both offer takeaway and dine in. Price rating ££

Ilkley’s Michelin starred restaurant attracts visitors from all over the country. This fine dining experience certainly delivers; you can select from an A La Carte menu or enjoy the taster menu matched to incredible wines from around the world. We certainly recommend it but it’s worth booking in advance. Price rating £££

CAFE
No trip to Yorkshire is complete without taking tea at Betty’s. This famous café is well known for afternoon tea, traditional service and atmosphere. Wonderful cakes, tea and coffee is served daily, but be prepared to queue on weekend. Price rating ££

FOOD
If you love wine, craft beer, cured meats and cheese then this place is for you. One of two venues this ‘meatery’ brings something different to the table and is often very busy. Price rating ££
